Fabian Allen Arrives in Kathmandu to Join Sudurpaschim Royals for NPL 2026
November 05, 2026
West Indies all-rounder Fabian Allen has arrived in Nepal to join Sudurpaschim Royals for the third edition of the Nepal Premier League (NPL 2026). He was welcomed at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, wearing a Royals scarf.
The Royals announced his signing on October 25, a day before the tournament opened. He joins an overseas group.
Allen is a 31-year-old right-hand batter and left-arm spinner. Royals CEO Prakash Khadka said the franchise expects him to strengthen its spin bowling and lower-order batting.
His T20 record backs that role. Across 178 T20 matches he has scored 1,634 runs and taken 109 wickets, with a strike rate of 139.89 and 106 sixes. He made his first-class debut for Jamaica in 2016.
After signing, Allen said he was excited to come to Nepal and added, “I will try to perform well in front of the supporters.”
Sudurpaschim, runners-up in both previous NPL editions, opened NPL 2026 with a seven-wicket loss to defending champions Lumbini Lions. They were bowled out for 87. Allen’s mix of spin control through the middle overs and hitting power at the back end addresses the gaps that match exposed.
NPL 2026 is an eight-team tournament running until November 21 at the TU International Cricket Stadium in Kirtipur.
