The third season of the Nepal Premier League (NPL) will run from October 26 to November 21, the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) confirmed on Saturday, moving the tournament out of its usual post-festival December slot for the first time.

The revised schedule places the tournament between the Dashain and Tihar festivals, with organizers planning only a two-day pause in play during the core days of Tihar. Previous editions of the NPL were held later in the year, making this a notable shift in the tournament's calendar positioning.

Player auctions for the season have already been completed, and franchises are now finalizing their squads, including overseas signings, though the detailed match-by-match fixture list has not yet been released.

NPL Season 3 follows a competitive first two editions. Janakpur Bolts won the inaugural title, while Lumbini Lions claimed the second-season trophy. Sudurpaschim Royals finished as runners-up in both campaigns, making them the tournament's most consistent finalist so far.

With tournament dates now set, attention turns to the release of the full NPL Season 3 schedule list and confirmed NPL Season 3 squads in the coming weeks.
