Kathmandu Gurkhas captain Karan KC was named Player of the Match in the 10th match of the Nepal Premier League (NPL) 2026 after taking two wickets and then scoring 44 off 20 balls in a four-wicket win over Karnali Yaks at Kirtipur on Monday.

With the ball, Karan KC took two wickets as Karnali Yaks were held to 180/6. In the chase, Kathmandu were 117/4 and needed 64 from 30 balls when he took the game away from Karnali, hitting four fours and three sixes at a strike rate of 220. Jahandad Khan (22*) and Santosh Yadav (5*) finished the job in 19.4 overs with two balls to spare.

Rashid Khan made 50 off 33 balls for Kathmandu, while Ariful Islam (44) and Hussain Talat (40, plus two wickets) led Karnali Yaks.

It was Kathmandu Gurkhas’ first win of NPL 2026, after an eight-wicket loss to Janakpur Bolts in Match 5. Karnali Yaks suffered their first defeat after two wins.
