Ruben Trumpelmann was named Player of the Match in the 13th match of the Nepal Premier League (NPL) 2026 after taking 3/16 in four overs as Lumbini Lions beat Pokhara Avengers by eight wickets at Kirtipur on Tuesday.

Trumpelmann led the Lumbini attack after captain Rohit Paudel chose to bowl, and Pokhara were bowled out for 97/9. Tilak Bhandari took two wickets, and Chamika Karunaratne top-scored for Pokhara with 25 off 17 balls.

Lumbini chased the target in 11.4 overs, finishing on 98/2 with 50 balls to spare. Paudel made an unbeaten 47 off 32 balls and Niroshan Dickwella added 27 not out.

Trumpelmann was also Player of the Series in NPL 2025, when Lumbini Lions won their first title.
