NPL Points Table After 7th Match: Karnali Lead
October 31, 2026
Karnali Yaks remain top of the Nepal Premier League 2026 points table with four points from two wins after rain cancelled the seventh match between Lumbini Lions and Chitwan Rhinos on Saturday, 31 October. Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) secretary Paras Khadka confirmed the match was called off, and each team was awarded one point. Lumbini and Chitwan are now on three points from two matches each. The evening match, Sudurpaschim Royals vs Biratnagar Kings, was likely to go ahead, possibly with a reduced number of overs.
A win earns two points, and a tie or no result earns one. Teams' level on points is ranked by net run rate (NRR). The table below is calculated from the table published before Saturday plus the shared points. Sudurpaschim and Biratnagar are unchanged until the evening match is decided.
Fixture dates are from the match listing on NPLT20League.com.
What changed? Lumbini and Chitwan stay unbeaten, but a shared point leaves both short of a second win. Lumbini sit above Chitwan on NRR. Kathmandu and Pokhara have played only one match each, fewer than any other team. A win in the evening match would give either Sudurpaschim or Biratnagar two points, and an abandoned match would give each one.
Qualification. The top four teams at the end of the league stage reach the playoffs. The top two meet in Qualifier 1, and the winner goes straight to the Final. The third and fourth teams play the Eliminator. The first fixtures that can change the table are Janakpur Bolts vs Pokhara Avengers on 1 November and Kathmandu Gurkhas vs Karnali Yaks on 2 November.
