NPL 2026: Saturday’s Two Matches Cancelled, eSewa Ticket Refund Policy Explained
October 31, 2026
Spectators who bought tickets for Saturday’s two cancelled Nepal Premier League matches look set for refunds under eSewa’s published policy. The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) has not yet announced a final decision on whether holders will get their money back or be allowed to attend another match.
Nepal Press reported that both 31 October matches, Lumbini Lions vs Chitwan Rhinos and Biratnagar Kings vs Sudurpaschim Royals, were cancelled because of continuous rain, with all four teams awarded one point each.
What eSewa’s policy says. eSewa, the ticketing partner, states that confirmed tickets cannot be cancelled. Refunds are available only if a match is cancelled or abandoned before a single ball is bowled in any match at the stadium that day, and administration fees may be deducted. Both matches were called off without play, so that condition appears to be met.
What officials have said.
Ticket prices. CAN set league-stage prices at Rs 500 for general and Rs 1,000 for premium tickets.
What is not decided. No claim process, deadline, or exchange scheme had been published when this was written. Check the NPL 2026 tickets page and the eSewa app for updates.
The next scheduled matches at Kirtipur are Janakpur Bolts vs Pokhara Avengers on 1 November at 5:00 pm and Kathmandu Gurkhas vs Karnali Yaks on 2 November at 12:30 pm. Whether tickets can be used for them has not been announced. The full NPL 2026 schedule is on the site.
