Janakpur Bolts Set 148-Run Target for Pokhara Avengers in NPL 9th Match
November 01, 2026
Janakpur Bolts finished their innings on 147/7 in 20 overs, setting Pokhara Avengers a target of 148 in the 9th match of the Nepal Premier League (NPL) 2026. The match is at the Tribhuvan University Cricket Ground in Kirtipur. Pokhara captain Kushal Bhurtel won the toss and chose to field.
Trit Raj Das anchored the innings with a 61 off 55 balls before Mahedi Hasan had him caught by Kushal Bhurtel. Shakib Al Hasan took two early wickets, and Janakpur slipped to 47/1 and 51/2. They were 79/3 when Harmeet Singh fell, then lost Anil Sah at 97 and Das at 117.
The Bolts were 117/5 when Das fell. James Neesham and Abhisekh Tiwari then took them past 140, and Tiwari hit a six and a four off Mahedi Hasan late in the innings.
Das’s 61 made up about 41% of Janakpur’s 147. No other batter in the innings came close, so the Bolts relied heavily on him. Das was in Pokhara’s batting line-up in last season’s meeting between these sides. This time he top-scored against them.
Pokhara are chasing 148 to win their first match of the tournament, after losing their opener to Sudurpaschim Royals by 6 wickets. A win would give them their first 2 points. A Janakpur win would take the Bolts to 4 points from three matches.
