Playing Style
Kami is Nepal's leading fast-medium bowler, capable of exceeding 140 kph. He takes the new ball, seams it away from right-handers, and returns at the death. As a lower-order hitter, he scored an unbeaten 67 off 44 against Scotland in 2025 and holds a long-standing T20I record for the highest score by a number-ten batter.
Early and Domestic Career
Born in Gulmi and raised in Punjab, Kami returned to Nepal in 2013 and joined Kathmandu Region No. 3. Ten wickets in four matches at the Journey to World Cup event accelerated his national selection. He later made a first-class debut for Saracens Sports Club and now represents Tribhuvan Army Club.
International Career
Kami made his T20I debut for Nepal against Hong Kong at the 2014 ICC World Twenty20 and played in Nepal's first ODI against the Netherlands in 2018. His 5/33 against the UAE in 2019 made him Nepal's first ODI five-wicket-haul bowler. He has represented Nepal at the 2014, 2024, and 2026 T20 World Cups.
Franchise and NPL Career
Kami won the 2019 Global T20 Canada title with Winnipeg Hawks, becoming the first Nepali to win an overseas T20 franchise league. He has served as Karnali Yaks marquee player and captain since NPL 2024, leading the team to third place in Season 1 before being retained for 2025 and 2026.
