Playing Style

Jha is a genuine bowling all-rounder who operates with the new ball or at first change and bats in the lower-middle order with power. His bowling uses variations in pace and length, producing ODI five-wicket hauls of 5/47 and 5/38 against Oman. His clean hitting includes 53 off 35 in the same match as his first five-wicket haul and 54 off 25 in Nepal's 2023 T20 World Cup Asia qualifier final.

Early and Domestic Career

Jha trained at Arunodaya Cricket Academy in Ranchi, India, from 2016 until returning to Nepal in 2020. He broke through for Nepal Police Club in the 2021 Kathmandu Mayor's Cup final, taking 4/22 and earning Player of the Match. He has also represented Kathmandu Kings XI and Lumbini All Stars.

International Career

Jha made his ODI debut for Nepal against the United States on September 17, 2021, aged 15 years and 212 days, becoming the third-youngest ODI debutant. He made his T20I debut in 2022, helped Nepal qualify for the 2023 Asia Cup and 2024 T20 World Cup, and became the first Nepali to score a fifty and take five wickets in the same ODI with 53 and 5/47 against Oman in 2024.

Jha joined Karnali Yaks for NPR 1.5 million in the inaugural 2024 Category A auction. He scored 132 runs and took one wicket in Season 1, followed by 110 runs and three wickets in Season 2. Karnali retained him for NPL 2026.
