Khatri is Pokhara Avengers' senior spin option, used to control the middle overs and strike with the new ball when conditions favour turn. His NPL 2024 season — 9 wickets in 7 innings at an economy of 7.38 — established him as one of Pokhara Avengers' best bowlers that season, and he backed it up in NPL 2025 with a standout spell of 4-0-15-3 against defending champions Janakpur Bolts.

He is generally used as a bowling-first all-rounder rather than a front-line batter, though he has held an end up under pressure, including a gritty knock in a chase against Ireland Wolves for Nepal A. His representative career with Nepal A, including a three-wicket haul in a series-deciding T20, shows he can perform against higher-standard opposition, not just domestic batters.

Khatri came through domestic cricket representing Nepal's Western Development Region before the country's provincial restructuring, and has since turned out for Gandaki Province in inter-provincial cricket. He has also featured for club and franchise sides including Pokhara Rhinos, Butwal Blasters, Dhangadhi Stars, Rupandehi Challengers, Kathmandu Kings XI, Chitwan Cricket Club, and Nepal APF Club.

Beyond the NPL, Khatri has played provincial cricket for Gandaki Province, including in the Inter-Province Men's tournament, and has represented several franchise sides in earlier Nepali T20 competitions such as the Dhangadhi Premier League and similar city-based tournaments.

Khatri has not made his debut for Nepal's senior national team in any format and no senior international caps are on record for him. He is, however, centrally contracted by the Cricket Association of Nepal under its Grade D pool for the 2025–2026 cycle, alongside players such as Trit Raj Das, Sagar Dhakal, and Aakash Chand.

His highest level of representative honour to date is with Nepal A. He made his Nepal A debut on 30 March 2024 against Ireland Wolves at Kirtipur, during the Ireland Wolves' first-ever tour of Nepal. He played all three unofficial T20s in that series and took his best figures of 3 for 23 in the series-deciding third match, a game Nepal A won by 3 runs after Aarif Sheikh's unbeaten 93 set up a target of 214.

Khatri's only franchise experience beyond Nepali domestic cricket is with Pokhara Avengers in the NPL. He has not featured in any overseas franchise T20 league.

NPL 2024 (Season 1): Signed for NPR 10 lakh. Finished as the team's leading bowler with 9 wickets in 7 innings at an economy rate of 7.38.

NPL 2025 (Season 2): Retained by Pokhara Avengers. Delivered a standout spell of 3 wickets for 15 runs in 4 overs against Janakpur Bolts on 27 November 2025, sparking Pokhara's first win of the season.

NPL 2026 (Season 3): Retained again by Pokhara Avengers, one of seven players kept back by the franchise, confirmed by retained-players coverage in June 2026.

There is no verified record of Bipin Khatri captaining Nepal A, Pokhara Avengers, or any other side. Pokhara Avengers has been led throughout the NPL by marquee player and captain Kushal Bhurtel.
