Season 3 of the Nepal Premier League kicks off on October 26, and for the first time fans won't be queuing up for a paper ticket at the gate. The Cricket Association of Nepal has confirmed a fully digital booking system for all 32 matches at TU International Cricket Ground, Kirtipur, along with a tiered pricing structure and an expanded fan zone outside the stadium. Here's what supporters need to know before booking.

Physical tickets are gone for NPL 2026. Every seat is booked online through official ticketing partners, and instead of a paper stub, fans get a QR-coded digital pass tied to their mobile wallet or banking app. At the gate, turnstiles scan the code and let you straight through — no paper checks, no long queues, and in theory, far less scalping around the ground.

Booking opens roughly six weeks before the tournament's opening match (Janakpur Bolts vs. Kathmandu Gorkhas, Oct 26), which puts the sales window starting in early October.

NPL 2026 tickets range from NPR 300 (General Parapet) to NPR 2,000 (VIP Pavilion) per match, with a full season pass covering all 32 matches priced at NPR 10,000.

For fans planning to follow the whole tournament, two season-long options are available:

• Full Season Pass — NPR 10,000: covers all 28 group-stage matches plus all four playoff fixtures (Qualifier 1, Eliminator, Qualifier 2, Grand Final on Dec 13)
• Group Stage Pass — NPR 7,500: covers only the 28 round-robin matches, priced roughly 25% cheaper than buying each match individually

Fan Zone and Match-Day Experience

Outside the eastern gate, NPL has built out a proper match-day festival rather than just a ticket queue. Each of the eight franchises—Biratnagar Kings, Chitwan Rhinos, Janakpur Bolts, Karnali Yaks, Kathmandu Gorkhas, Lumbini Lions, Pokhara Avengers, and Sudurpaschim Royals—gets its own merchandise stall selling jerseys, caps, and fan gear.

Food options mix local Nepali stalls with quick-service international vendors, and there's a 40x20 ft LED screen showing live Kantipur Max coverage for fans without match tickets. Kids and casual fans get something extra too: speed-gun bowling cages and a batting simulator to kill time between innings.

Gate Timings, Security and Access

Gate timing depends on the match slot. For the 11:45 AM fixtures, gates open at 9:45 AM; for evening matches at 4:00 PM or 5:30 PM, doors open at 2:00 PM. Standard security applies—bag checks, metal detectors, no glass bottles, fireworks, or sharp objects.

Getting to the ground should also be easier than in past seasons. Parking has been set up near Balkhu and the main TU gate, with free electric shuttles running between the lots and the stadium entrances, cutting down on the walk along the narrow access roads that have historically caused bottlenecks on match day.

Accessibility has had an upgrade too — wheelchair ramps and reserved viewing space are now built into the Premium Grandstand tier, with usher support to help fans from the shuttle drop-off straight to their seats.

Two mobile medical clinics and four ambulances, staffed by paramedics from Kathmandu hospitals, will be on standby throughout the tournament. Free water stations are placed along the parapet concourse—a sensible call given how many of these matches fall in the afternoon heat.
