Kathmandu Gurkhas beat Biratnagar Kings by nine wickets in the 15th match of the Nepal Premier League (NPL) 2026 at the Tribhuvan University Cricket Ground in Kirtipur on Thursday. Santosh Yadav took 3/11 as Biratnagar were bowled out for 83, and David Warner hit an unbeaten 44 off 24 balls as Kathmandu chased 84 in 9.4 overs, finishing on 86/1 with 62 balls to spare.

Put in to bat, the Biratnagar Kings lost three wickets in the powerplay, scoring 23. Shehan Jayasuriya fell for 5, Imran Sheikh for a duck and Lokesh Bam for 6. They were 35/7 after 9.4 overs, with Andre Russell out for 3.

Sahan Arachchige took 2/7 in two overs, Santosh Yadav ended with 3/11, and Karan KC took 2/17. Shahab Alam, Jahandad Khan, and Dev Shah took one wicket each.

Rupesh Singh (26 off 27) and Angelo Mathews (22 off 31) added 39 for the eighth wicket, the only real resistance. Santosh Yadav bowled Mathews and had Singh lbw. Aprajit Poudel was out for 2, and Biratnagar were all out for 83 in 18.3 overs.

Warner Finishes the Chase in 9.4 Overs

Kathmandu Gurkhas lost only one wicket in the chase. Sahil Patel, who made his T20 debut, scored 10 off 11 balls before Aprajit Poudel dismissed him at 17/1.

Warner and William Bosisto then put on an unbroken 69 for the second wicket in 43 balls. Warner hit two fours and three sixes in his 44 off 24, and Bosisto was unbeaten on 23 off 24.
