Andre Russell was named Player of the Match in the 12th match of the Nepal Premier League (NPL) 2026 after an unbeaten 52 off 29 balls and figures of 4/45 in Biratnagar Kings' two-run win over Janakpur Bolts at Kirtipur on Tuesday.

Why Russell Won the Award

Andre Russell walked in after Lokesh Bam fell at 146/3 in the 18th over. He hit five sixes in his unbeaten 52 and added 28 runs in 13 balls with Shubham Ranjane, as Biratnagar scored 62 in the last five overs to finish on 174/3.

With the ball, Russell bowled the final over with Janakpur needing 13 to win. They scored only 10 and finished on 172/7, two runs short. Russell ended with 4/45.

It was a second big all-round game in a row for the West Indies star, who signed for the Biratnagar Kings as a two-time T20 World Cup winner. In Match 8 he scored an unbeaten 29, took a wicket, and made a catch against the Sudurpaschim Royals.
